From Berlin to Frankfurt am Main, the second stop for the Innovation Roadshow is Techtextil & Texprocess this May 2019.

Presented in partnership with Sourcebook, Kaleidoscope and Texpertise Network, the Innovation Roadshow is made up of the Fashionsustain conference, Thinkathon collaborative workshop and Innovation Showcase – read on for an overview of the proceedings.

Two leading international fairs under one roof: Techtextil covers all aspects of technical textiles – from nonwovens to functional apparel – while Texprocess presents how these are manufactured and processed.

For the second edition of the Innovation Roadshow Showcase we have some very exciting exhibitors from Finland: Aalto University, Happy Textiles, Myontec, Planno Oy and Spinnova. Plus there’s also a second chance to catch the Lenzing AG, Santoni SPA and Procalçado SA zero-waste footwear collaboration.

 

Fashionsustain Conference

“Is sustainability the key to textile innovation?” – this will be the overarching question explored at the first Fashionsustain Conference to take place outside Berlin Fashion Week. The timetable and talks are as follows:

Trendsetting change makers: Is fashion leading the way for sustainable innovation?

Panel with Kering, Zalando and more, moderated by Max Gilgenmann, Content Director on NEONYT.

• 12:00 – 12:45 

Synthetic change makers: What does the future of man-made fibres look like?

Panel with Lenzing, Infinted Fibers, Perpetual Global, Clariant and Indorama.

• 13:00 – 13:45 

Innovation Roadshow presentation: Best sustainable practice

Panel with Lenzing, Santoni, Procalçado and Spinnova.
